Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Variable shifts, including 8 or 12 hour shifts, scheduled for a total of 80 hours in a 2-week period. Shift assignments will be determined by the manager upon arrival, with at least one weekend off and one on-call shift per roster.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Nurse will provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess strong multitasking abilities and can efficiently work independently. Responsibilities include managing patient care during Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations, with an understanding of core measures and National Patient Safety Goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for emergency patients.
• Respond to and manage medical emergencies in the ER.
• Utilize equipment such as Meditech EMR, Life Pack Defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, and Philips Monitoring Systems.
• Work collaboratively with the nursing team while floating to various units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency setting.
• Proficient in IV skills.
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Hawaii nursing license required by the start of the assignment.
• NRP certification preferred.
• NCI and Procedural Sedation certifications are requested but not mandatory.
