Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 8hr Shifts

Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) acts as a crucial member of the health-care team, utilizing sound nursing judgment based on preparation, knowledge, experience, and competency. The LPN provides care following established guidelines and policies while participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Formulate daily goals and a plan of care in collaboration with patients that considers their individual needs.
• Communicate patient conditions effectively with other care providers and document care comprehensively.
• Provide detailed patient and family education to facilitate smooth transitions in care.
• Collaborate with the health care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Participate in unit activities and provide support to team members as needed.
• Address any identified safety hazards in the workplace and report to management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Successful completion and graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program approved by the State Board of Nursing.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Compliance with PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 regulations.

Schedule

This is a rotating shift position, requiring availability for 8-hour shifts across 5 days a week, with a guaranteed workload.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
