Registered Nurse - Birthing Center

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a Birthing Center environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Utilize all phases of the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direction and supervision to the nursing patient care team, including CNAs, LPNs, and other techs.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other healthcare disciplines in providing quality patient care.
• Document patient care, conditions, reactions, and responses to treatment accurately and timely.
• Track patient progress and ensure adherence to care standards.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours weekly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years current experience in a Birthing Center or similar setting.
• Experience with laboring patients, delivery, and postpartum care for both mothers and newborns.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Must possess a valid Michigan RN license.
• NRP certification preferred, willingness to obtain if not currently certified.
• Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
• All requests for time off must be noted and verified at the time of submission.
