Registered Nurse - Trauma, Neuro, Vascular, and Ortho Experience

Schedule

Day shift: 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with potential requirements for night shifts as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience for an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and possess strong clinical skills to provide high-quality patient care in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in trauma, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, and orthopedic units.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and outcomes, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call rotations, with shifts distributed evenly among nursing staff.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding care plans and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic specialties.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Ability to float between similar units as needed.
• Willingness to work weekends and major holidays (2 out of 3: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
