MRI Technologist

Schedule

Sunday-Thursday, 10 PM - 6:30 AM. This is an on-call position with holiday duties and callback per unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for an 8-week position. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI equipment to produce images used to diagnose medical conditions. You will ensure the comfort of patients and coordinate with healthcare providers to deliver timely results.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• Injection certification is required.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license (must be willing to obtain after starting).
