Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with call.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the operating room and other areas of perioperative services. This role acts as a patient advocate and is accountable for meeting surgical standards of nursing practice. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough knowledge of sterile technique are essential. The nurse will develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans, leading collaborative efforts to maintain professional nursing practice standards in the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Participate and implement age-specific care and interaction.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team in the assessment of the patient/family.
• Perform thorough assessments on all patients, including pain assessments and reassessments.
• Utilize appropriate pain management techniques.
• Maintain a commitment to teamwork and task fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• BSN preferred.
