Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in the Progressive Care Unit, focusing on neuro and trauma patients. Utilizing essential nursing practices and critical thinking skills, the RN will be responsible for patient assessments, implementing care plans, and delivering personalized support to each patient.

Responsibilities

• Conduct neuro and spinal checks.
• Perform C-Collar placement and ensure correct use of TLSO braces.
• Administer chest tube management, PCA pump operations, and IV infusions.
• Facilitate lumbar drain and feeding tube placement.
• Manage blood transfusions and ensure proper monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Experience in neuro and trauma care preferred.
