Interventional Radiology Nurse

4x10 Hour Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Nurse will provide care in a fast-paced environment focusing on conscious sedation and telemetry. The nurse will work closely with procedures related to stroke and must understand interventional radiology (IR) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care during interventional radiology procedures
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient vital signs
• Coordinate with the medical team to ensure effective patient outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotations; have to be at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call
• Provide coverage in pre and post units as needed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical nursing setting
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Basic understanding of interventional radiology procedures is essential
• Experience with telemetry and conscious sedation is necessary
