7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; full-time, 40-48 hours per week, including potential rotations between inpatient and outpatient settings.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered EEG Technologist (R.EEGT.) to join our Neurodiagnostics team. This role supports inpatient and outpatient EEG services, including routine, urgent, and continuous monitoring within a busy academic medical center.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality routine, ambulatory, and inpatient EEG studies in accordance with ACNS and ASET standards.
- Support long-term and continuous EEG monitoring for adult and pediatric patients, including ICU bedside studies.
- Ensure accurate electrode application using the international 10-20 system and other specialized montages as required.
- Recognize and document clinically significant EEG patterns and events; collaborate closely with neurologists and epilepsy providers.
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for diverse patient populations, including those with complex neurological and critical care needs.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure all procedures meet safety and compliance standards.
- Document procedures thoroughly in the EMR and uphold all regulatory, quality, and infection control policies.
- Support learners in the EEG Training program as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current R.EEGT. credential from ABRET required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of independent EEG experience in a hospital or acute care setting; ICU/continuous monitoring experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
