Respiratory Therapist – 13-Week Contract Position

Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule with 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care including floor care, emergency response, and rapid response services across various units. This role requires active participation in the treatment of patients with diverse respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality respiratory therapy services and treatments as directed by physician orders.
• Float between units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Engage in emergency and rapid response situations, ensuring patient safety and care.
• Utilize equipment such as BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory devices proficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Washington State Respiratory Therapy License.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with pediatrics preferred.
• Proficient in various respiratory therapies, including mechanical ventilation.
