Registered Nurse - Skilled Nursing Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

0.9 FTE day shift, 0630-1900, with every third weekend and a holiday rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced RN for our Skilled Nursing units. The candidate must have an education verification, current WI License, and CPR. Travelers may be asked to float to other inpatient units due to census.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice act.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the Physician and/or hospital policy including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Utilizes clinical expertise to provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates issues to the appropriate chain of command.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• Education verification
• Current CPR certification
