Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role includes one weekend of on-call coverage each month and one to two additional on-call days per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Surgical Services is responsible for providing excellent patient care in an acute care setting. The focus will be on circulating duties for various procedures including general surgery, podiatry, cataracts, OB/GYN, pain management, and oculoplasty.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Monitor patients during surgery and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired Registered Nurse license.
• BLS Certification required.
• Experience in circulating for surgical procedures is essential.
