Registered Nurse - PACU and Recovery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10-hour schedule (11:00 AM - 9:30 PM), with 2 weekend call shifts a month required.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our PACU and Recovery team. The RN will provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment, assisting in the recovery process for patients post-surgery.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care and ensure swift recovery post anesthesia.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in conditions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans.
• Administer medications including IVs and manage pain control protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Phase I and II PACU or Recovery settings.
• Active NY RN License required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS mandatory.
• Competency in phlebotomy and IV placement is essential.
