Interventional Radiology Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours from 06:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Weekend on-call rotation included.

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of interventional procedures and ensuring optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role entails comprehensive equipment management, procedural setup, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, embolization, and biopsies.
• Maintain and stock necessary supplies and equipment.
• Monitor patient conditions and provide appropriate responses during procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and efficiency during interventions.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and protocol standards.
• Act as room circulator and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
• Handle and manage central venous access devices and PICC lines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• ARRT R and BLS certifications are required; ARRT VI is preferred.
• Experience with radiology equipment including Siemens and GE imaging systems.
