This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift - 8 hour shifts - Varied - including weekends and holidays. Candidate must be flexible with no guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Job Description

The Long Term Care Nurse will work in a facility on the site of a hospital. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering treatments, and managing medication. The nurse will also notify the MD/NP of pertinent information, assist with admissions/discharges, and provide care for activities of daily living (ADLs). Specialized care includes Gastrostomy Tube care, Urinary Catheter care, Nebulized Treatment, Wound Vac care, CPAP care, and Tracheostomy Care.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and treatments
• Administer medications and notify healthcare providers of relevant patient information
• Assist with patient admissions and discharges
• Provide assistance with ADLs
• Deliver specialized care including Gastrostomy Tube, Urinary Catheter, Nebulized Treatment, Wound Vac, CPAP, and Tracheostomy care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Candidate must possess a valid State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.
