Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, guaranteed for 36 hours per week.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is responsible for managing various aspects of obstetric care including triage, outpatient testing, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery activities. This role does not include circulating or scrubbing in the operating room. Utilizing OBIX for fetal surveillance and EPIC for electronic health records, the RN will provide comprehensive care while adhering to the nursing process as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process in patient care across multiple obstetric settings.
• Educate patients and their support systems on relevant care plans and procedures.
• Accurately document patient care in the medical record.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care coordination.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery with current fetal heart monitoring certification [REQUIRED]
• BLS Certification (AHA) [REQUIRED]
• NRP Certification [REQUIRED]
• Experience with OBIX and EPIC systems [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• EFM and STABLE certifications [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Oregon state nursing license [NICE TO HAVE]
