ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. The role requires floating to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) and Med-Surg units as patient volume demands. This position is crucial for providing high-level care in a busy intensive care environment.

Schedule

This is a night shift position requiring 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with two weekends per month mandatory.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid NC RN license or Multistate license.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS (Airway management, management of vented patients, central line management).
• Experience with ventilators and comfort with pediatric patients is essential.
• EPIC charting system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the ICU setting with a patient ratio of 1:2.
• Manage patients who require continuous IV sedation and monitor for dysrhythmias.
• Perform infection prevention procedures and isolation precautions.
• Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and manage dysrhythmias efficiently.
• Titrate vasoactive drips and provide management for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
