Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatric Specialty

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend coverage is required, likely only on Friday nights. No on-call duties.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients undergoing surgery. The nurse will work within a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room environment.
• Perform nursing assessments and provide care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pediatric setting.
• At least 2 traveler contract experience preferred.
• Current SC/Compact Nursing License.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in pediatric and/or women's surgery is preferred.
