Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Room by utilizing the Nursing Process according to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assessing patients and developing care plans based on established clinical practices.
• Implementing and evaluating patient care effectively and safely.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure desired patient outcomes.
• Maintaining clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Providing direction and supervision to nursing personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• At least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications required.
• ESI Level 5 training required; TNCC is preferred.
• Cerner EMR experience is preferred.
