7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends, no call requirements.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery. Nurses in this role will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of medical professionals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients throughout the birthing process.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor and delivery.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Perform electronic fetal monitoring and provide immediate interventions based on findings.
• Assist with the delivery process, including C-sections and vaginal births.
• Maintain documentation and updates in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and support staff to ensure a smooth process.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Competency in C-section circulation and fetal monitoring.
