OB Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Shifts (07:00 - 19:30) with rotating weekend coverage.

Job Description

We seek an experienced OB Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in all phases of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently in various capacities and demonstrate expertise in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care, along with experience in Newborn Nursery.

Responsibilities

• Independently provide care during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn stages.
• Perform triage, labor, and immediate recovery for vaginal deliveries and C-sections.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and use EFM for fetal heart rate monitoring.
• Participate in resuscitation efforts for newborns as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting with OB experience.
• Must hold a valid New York State RN license.
• Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NRP required; ERM certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting is required.
• Experience in LDRP and newborn care is essential.
