Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse with experience in oncology to join our team. The role primarily involves caring for patients with general medical-surgical diagnoses and a history of oncology. The nurse will be responsible for the administration of chemotherapy and supportive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients with cancer histories.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy through IV, PO, or injection.
• Manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and other medical equipment as needed.
• Perform assessments and monitor vital signs while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication via PYXIS and EPIC systems.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Participate in patient education regarding treatments, medications, and care protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in an inpatient medical-surgical setting.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Oncology certification preferred; ability to administer chemotherapy is required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• CPI certification is preferred.
