3x12 shifts, varied hours. Call is required, with potential to float to department needs.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will produce diagnostic MRI scans and assist radiologists and referring physicians in MRI procedures while ensuring quality patient care. The role requires a thorough understanding of technical skills and advanced physics necessary for efficient MRI operation. The incumbent will also perform other job duties as needed and must maintain a high standard of professionalism and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Assist radiologists and referring physicians in MRI procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Make technical decisions to optimize MRI image quality.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Participate in after-hours standby and callback as required.
• Navigate department and hospital computer systems effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ARRT certification in MRI is required.
• BLS certification (AHA) is required.
• Two years of MRI experience with GE or Philips Scanners is necessary.
