Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Night Shift: 3 - 12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Med/Surg Telemetry. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care for individuals requiring telemetry monitoring. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Document patient information in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
• Must have a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Current American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification must be obtained prior to start.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for.
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score.
