Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Surgery. The RN will provide optimal patient care utilizing the nursing process, being accountable for individualized patient outcomes throughout the entire episode of care. The incumbent will deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, as well as their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Coordinate care amongst various healthcare professionals as needed.
• Engage with patients and families in the care process.
• Provide nursing care in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center environment.

Schedule

The position requires a 4x10 shift from Monday to Friday, 0630 to 1700. Call requirements include availability for call four days per month, with the possibility of working major holidays and picking up one additional shift during the scheduling period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of Surgery experience required.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS.
