6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

The role of Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will be responsible for managing a typical patient ratio of 4:1, with accommodations for higher ratios during behavioral holds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including techs and clerks.
• Participate in triage and manage patient flow in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize advanced equipment, including Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
• Document patient care events accurately using Cerner documentation system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in an Emergency Department setting.
• Experience in a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center preferred.
• Certifications required before starting: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS.
• ENPC certification within 90 days of hire.
