Cath Lab Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 4x10s from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM. The position includes two weekday call shifts from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM and two weekend call shifts from Friday at 5:30 PM through Monday at 7:00 AM per a 6-week schedule. Call coverage for Labor Day weekend is required.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for performing various technical procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory and will require floating to a different location at least one day per week. No call will be required at the alternate location.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic catheterizations and assist with interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including patient education and monitoring vital signs.
• Maintain and operate equipment and instruments in the Cath Lab.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
• Document all procedures and patient outcomes accurately in medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure for a Cath Lab Tech.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous experience in a cath lab or similar setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics.
