NICU Registered Nurse - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:30. Weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to neonates in a Level III NICU. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates, including administration of medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing support for feeding and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and manage acute nursing interventions.
• Educate parents and families on infant care and health concerns.
• Utilize advanced equipment and technology for monitoring and treatment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a Level III NICU setting.
• Valid California RN license in hand.
• Current certifications in BCLS, NRP, and PALS (advanced NRP will be accepted if willing to complete before start).
• Experience with charting in Epic is required.
