Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day or Night Shift Availability (TBD) - Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Must be flexible with various shift lengths and days. No guarantee of hours or shift preference. No holiday RTO requests permitted.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide medical/surgical level care for patients aged 18 and over. This position may require floating to surgical pediatric or transitional care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes in status.
• Utilize Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and care for chest tubes and other medical equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical or higher-level nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification is preferred.
• Active State of Hawaii RN license required prior to the start of the assignment.
