Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Variable shift availability, including both day and night shifts. Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Flexibility in shift lengths and days is required, with no guarantee of hours or shift preferences.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide medical-surgical level care to patients aged 18 and over. The role may involve floating to surgical pediatrics or transitional care units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and condition changes.
• Assist with patient care and comfort measures.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
• Document care activities accurately in Meditech EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical care or higher level of care.
• Current Hawaii RN license required by the start of the assignment.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
