Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), with mandatory weekend shifts (at least 8 per contract) and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care in the Emergency Department, working with both adult and pediatric patients. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, with a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as needed.
• Handle continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressor administration.
• Administer procedural sedation and monitor patients accordingly.
• Manage CPAP/BiPAP for ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Conduct triage and work effectively in a modified patient ratio environment (1:5).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Active RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS are mandatory.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
