Registered Nurse - Infusion Center

This is a Day 5x8-Hour position with shifts from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the Infusion Center. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving treatment for cancer and hematologic diseases. The nurse will be expected to perform various responsibilities, including patient assessment, medication administration, and supportive care.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and other intravenous therapies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in medical condition.
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and side effects.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records utilizing Cerner.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control guidelines.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or Compact license required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and OCN preferred.
• Previous charge experience is a plus (1 year minimum experience preferred).
• ONS/ONCC certification is required (may be obtained prior to start).
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 is preferred.
