Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This position requires night shifts, specifically 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Description

Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the Registered Nurse will apply the nursing process to the care of patients in the Emergency Department. The nurse will teach patients and significant others, document patient care in the medical record, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing processes for patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Teach patients and their significant others about various health conditions and treatments.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical records.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 2 years (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department (required).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS (required).
• Oregon State RN License (not required to be active at submission but must be willing to obtain).
