CVICU Registered Nurse - Day Shift

Schedule

Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15) with every other weekend requirement.

Job Description

The CVICU unit welcomes first-time travelers looking to provide exceptional care to cardiac surgical and medical patients. This role requires advanced clinical skills and the ability to manage critically ill patients while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and care for ventilated patients.
• Administer blood products and perform central line care.
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal.
• Monitor and manage patients in cardiac failure.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage IV insulin protocols.
• Facilitate procedural sedation administration and monitoring.
• Handle arterial line management and PICC line care.
• Provide care for patients with acute strokes and multisystem organ dysfunction.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (must be current and in hand).
• Must have a valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Preferred experience in CVICU, MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU.
