Job Description

The Respiratory Care Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients, which includes performing assessments, administering treatments, and managing ventilators. The role will involve floating between PICU, ED, and adult critical care units.

Responsibilities

• Conduct blood gas analysis and manage vent/BiPAP/high flow initiation and management.
• Respond to codes and perform in-house patient transport.
• Administer medications and provide chest physiotherapy.
• Maintain and operate respiratory equipment, including Servo I & U and V60 BiPAP.
• Assist with intubation and extubation processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, PICU/NICU experience preferred.
• Current NJ State License or Compact license.
• Required certifications: BLS and NBRC. Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) are highly preferred.
