Registered Nurse - MICU

Schedule

Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM, 36 hours/week, every third weekend.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the MICU, monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and patient progress.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and effective patient care environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience in an intensive care setting preferred.
• Completion of health requirements including COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and 2 Step PPD or IGRA.
