Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, varying from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Respiratory Therapist specialized in neonatal intensive care (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and a commitment to providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care assessments and interventions for neonatal patients.
• Administer prescribed therapies in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with medical teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a NICU setting.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Neonatal delivery experience is highly preferred.
• GA RRT licensure is required.
• Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NBRC-RRT are mandatory.
