Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Level I Trauma)

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at a Level I Trauma Center will provide high-quality patient care under challenging conditions. The nurse will be responsible for managing critically ill patients, performing assessments, and ensuring effective communication among staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in an Emergency Room setting.
• Perform assessments, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage life-threatening conditions.
• Document patient care activities through the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established protocols and safety measures while managing emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years minimum experience in a Level I trauma setting.
• Active state RN license.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH.
• Experience in handling critical situations including procedural sedation and triage.
• EPIC charting experience is required.
