CVICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a critical care setting. The successful candidate will provide care for patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient condition, including vital signs and overall health status.
• Provide post-operative care for fresh heart patients, ventilated patients, and those with chest tubes and lumbar drains.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced cardiac devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax.
• Provide patient education and support for patients and families.
• Float to other ICUs, PACU, ED for ICU holding patients, and all IMC units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience; SICU experience may be considered with initial training in CVICU.
• Active New Jersey RN License or Compact License.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
