Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Nights, 48 hours/week with every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care to patients from infancy through adulthood, utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize the nursing process. The role emphasizes personalized care during pregnancy and childbirth, supported by a midwife-led team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to laboring patients and their families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on post-delivery care and infant care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (required).
• Postpartum and Mother/Baby care experience (required).
• Epic EMR experience (required).
• AWHONN Certification within the past 3 years (preferred).
• New Hampshire RN License or Compact (required).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required).
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
