Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist

Schedule

This position requires a shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The Technologist will work collaboratively with other imaging staff and will not operate the MRI system alone. Responsibilities include patient management, equipment handling, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans in efficient and effective manner.
• Assist in the patient preparation and post-procedure care.
• Coordinate with other imaging professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow departmental protocols and infection control policies.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns.
• Take call as needed to provide after-hours imaging services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of current MRI experience.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification in MRI is required.
• Experience with GE MRI equipment is required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Must have own transportation.
