Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift - 4x12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15), with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in medical-surgical nursing. This position requires flexibility to float to similar units as needed and maintain a patient ratio of 6:1.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments according to physician's orders.
• Monitor patients' conditions, interpreting vital signs and managing abnormalities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license (OK or Compact) required at the time of submission.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
