Acute Care Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:00)
Weekends required with rotation among full-time therapy staff.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Acute Care Physical Therapist for a dynamic and fast-paced short-term acute care facility. The role requires strong clinical skills in managing a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care through appropriate evaluation, treatment planning, and rehabilitation interventions is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations and create individualized treatment plans.
• Administer appropriate interventions and adjust plans based on patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Document all patient care activities in the Epic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Physical Therapist license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
• Experience with various patient diagnoses including spinal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and neurological conditions.
