Surgical Scrub Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour (06:45 - 19:15), Monday through Friday rotating shifts. Call requirement is approximately 2-8 hour shifts, with 1-24 hour call shift on weekends.

Job Description

The Surgical Scrub Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room while demonstrating strong expertise in scrub and circulate roles. The candidate must possess strong experience in at least two of the following specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards.
• Assist in patient positioning, preparation, and maintenance of sterile fields.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure efficient workflow within the operating room.
• Utilize hospital systems (PYXIS, EPIC) for documentation and medication management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience.
• Must have scrub and circulate experience, particularly in neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics.
• BCLS Certification required.
• Local candidates are accepted, but the traveler experience is preferred.
