Acute Care Occupational Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential weekend shifts 1-2 times per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality therapy services in a hospital-based acute care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care settings and be prepared to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients to develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve maximum independence.
• Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Active South Carolina or Multistate Compact Occupational Therapist License.
• BLS certification and NBCOT certification required.
• First-time travelers will not be accepted.
