Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, with holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse with significant experience in cardiac telemetry. The focus will be on providing optimal care for patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions, including congestive heart failure and other acute coronary syndromes. Floating to various locations may be required as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage IVs, including cardiac and insulin drips.
• Carry out EKG tests and interpretation, ensuring adherence to protocols.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and patient needs as they arise.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, specializing in cardiac telemetry.
• Current Active RN Licensure, ACLS, and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.
• Knowledge and experience managing patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions.
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory.
