PACU Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Mids, 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Call required every 4th weekend and one night per week.

Job Description

The PACU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit. This role requires critical thinking and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to float to endoscopy, pre-operative, and surgery center units as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during the recovery phase.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Document all patient assessments and interventions accurately.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Previous PACU or ICU experience required.
• Ability to float to multiple areas such as endo, pre-op, and surgery center.
