Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide full scope of cardiopulmonary services to patients of all ages, ensuring that care is delivered with respect for patients’ rights and dignity. This role includes assisting in problem-solving across all aspects of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage respiratory treatments for patients in a clinical setting.
• Perform airway management, including intubation assistance and ventilator operation.
• Procure and analyze arterial blood gases (ABG) and conduct pulmonary function testing.
• Educate patients on respiratory treatment modalities including the reasons and techniques used.
• Document therapies administered and help revise procedure manuals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an AMA accredited Respiratory Therapy program with an Associate's Degree.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in respiratory treatment of hospital patients.
• Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentials: CRT, RT, or RRT required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS and PALS certification encouraged.

Schedule

This position offers both day and night shifts, with a guaranteed workload of 32 hours per week.
