DEXA Technologist - Bone Density Exam

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a DEXA Technologist specializing in bone density exams. The candidate must have current and proficient experience in performing bone density exams. The role will not require floating between units, and no on-call or weekend shifts are mandated.

Responsibilities

• Perform DEXA scans and ensure accurate assessments of bone density.
• Maintain patient care standards during imaging procedures.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection prevention guidelines.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess current certification with ARRT and hold an active RT (R) through OBMI.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience with bone density exams is a hardstop requirement.
• Prior experience in handling DEXA-based imaging procedures is preferred.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10 hours from 07:00 to 17:00, with no weekend or on-call responsibilities.
