Neuro/PCU Registered Nurse

Night Shift: 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Job Description

The Neuro/PCU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a specialized neuro and progressive care unit. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and perform assessments on patients experiencing neurological and/or cardiac issues.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
• Provide patient and family education on conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in quality improvement activities within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Neuro/PCU or similar setting.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license required prior to start.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Telemetry competency is required.
